What is the recommended Internet speed connection? Print

Modified on: Wed, 20 Mar, 2024 at 11:28 AM

At On Air we offer livestream performances in the highest quality possible, and a bad connection caused by low or inconsistent internet speeds will really impact your viewing experience.  Therefore it is important that you have at least the following minimum speeds when watching an On Air show:

  • 10 Mbps for HD (High Definition) + Stereo content.
  • 25 Mbps for 4K UHD (Ultra High Definition) Dolby Vision + Dolby Atmos content.

Using an internet connection that is slower and/or is inconsistent can result in buffering and/or viewing the stream in a lower quality. Make sure to test your connection so that you can experience an On Air event without issues.

You can test your internet connection speed to see if the device you are watching on meets the above recommendations.

Do not forget to also check if you are using one of our supported devices and/or browsers.

On Air events also provides a list of supported devices and platforms for you to check if you can watch our highest quality livestreams on your device or platform.
