How do I watch a show on my TV?

Modified on Mon, 2 Dec at 11:35 AM

For the best immersive experience on your Smart TV, On Air has developed apps for Apple TVOS devices, Smart TVs running the Google Android TV operating system, and Amazon Fire TV. Download the apps here:

*Please note that we also have apps available for mobile devices - Learn more: How to watch an On Air show on a mobile device.

We currently don’t have apps available for Samsung Tizen (Samsung Smart TVs), LG WebOS (LG Smart TVs) or Roku (Smart TVs running Roku OS). Here are some alternative methods to watch On Air’s shows:

  • AirPlay - a step-by-step guide can be found here

  • Chromecast - a step-by-step guide can be found here

  • HDMI cable - connect your laptop to your TV using a cable. Ensure the connection is HDCP 2.2 compliant (check your equipment manual). If the connection is not compliant, you’ll see a black screen due to Digital Rights Management Enforcement

When using AirPlay and Chromecast, you can experience the show in the quality you purchased (if applicable). For example, a show with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision will be supported as long as your equipment is compatible.

How to create an account via the TV app:

  4. Follow the registration process
  5. Select "Go to Login" and enter your login credentials

How to purchase a show via the TV app:

  1. Login or create an account
  2. Choose your favourite shows
  3. Select "Buy"
  4. Select the quality you’d like to purchase (if applicable)
  5. Add to your cart and follow the payment process
